So we have heard Moon Unit, Apple, Audio Science, Sage Moonblood, Blue Angel, Moxie Crimefighter, Jermajesty and Pilot Inspektor.
So when celeb couple Beyonce and Jay-Z announced their unconventional but (unique) baby girl’s name, I thought it was quite tame. And we LOVE!
In a joint statement from Queen B and JayZ- Hello Hello Baby Blue! We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.

Blue Ivy Carter was welcomed into the world Saturday night and is the first child for the two biggest names in pop/hip hop, who married in April 2008.

Jay-Z’s has had three albums with “blue” in their titles: “The Blueprint,” “The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse,” and “The Blueprint 3.” He’s also penned songs “Blue Magic” and “Empire State of Mind” in which he raps, “You should know I bleed blue” and paying homage to the favorite color and is known for wearing a New York Yankees hat, which is, of course, blue.
And “Ivy is a representing the Roman numeral IV and and we all know the number 4 is a significant factor in the couple’s relationship.
Beyonce’s birthday is Sept. 4, Jay-Z’s is Dec. 4, they married on April 4, 2008 and reportedly have matching “IV” tattoos on their wedding fingers. The name of Beyonce’s latest album: “4.”
Multiple celeb friends have confirmed the birth via Twitter. Friend Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted Sunday morning that the baby is named Blue Ivy Carter. Rihanna tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.” Russell Simmons also offered his congratulations, tweeting, “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”
They say the superstar booked the fourth floor of the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City for a whopping $1.3 million to seal off and redecorate a wing, complete with bulletproof glass and ultra-tight security measure to make sure that their baby’s entrance into the world was nothing short of fiercely glamorous.
With all this joy, there was past pain of 30-year-old Beyonce having a miscarriage. Jay-Z, 42, just released the rap “Glory” talking about the “false alarms and false starts all made better by the sound of your heart…all the pain of the last time, prayed so hard it was the last time… Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you disappeared… The most amazing feeling I feel, Words can’t describe what a feeling, for real, Baby I’ll paint the sky blue, My greatest creation was you.”
